  • The release of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is imminent, rumors say
  • The graphics card is now listed again on a retailer's website
  • Nvidia has not said anything about the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti

The highly anticipated Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card is rumored to arrive earlier than expected, with some retailers starting to list it on their online stores.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is set to be unveiled on May 18, a recent leak from IT Home said as per Wccftech. The chipmaker will reportedly reveal the graphics card's specifications along with its price and some of its performance ratings. Meanwhile, the GPU's full performance metrics of the soon-to-be-announced graphics card would reportedly be revealed by independent reviewers on May 25.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card would be available for sale starting May 26. So far, it is unknown if Nvidia would accept pre-orders during the official reveal. However, fans should temper their expectations because the company hasn't done it with its previously launched GeForce RTX 30 series products.

Meanwhile, Polish retailer X-Kom has listed the MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Ventus 3X OC on its website. This gives credence to earlier photos circulating online showing a pallet of MSI graphics cards. Consumers cannot pre-order the graphics card from X-Kom, but the retailer has kept the listing up, indicating that its announcement and release are imminent.

Unfortunately, the listing does not confirm that the graphics card would release on May 26. Also, it does not offer any clue about how much the upcoming card would cost. However, it's worth noting that the Polish retailer has a notification system in place to alert consumers when the graphics card becomes available for sale.

If the previous Nvidia Ampere launches are anything to go by, the company would most likely hold a digital event to officially announce the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. Nvidia had its last consumer event during the CES in January. During the convention, Nvidia announced the RTX 30-series laptops and the GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card, which was unveiled a month earlier than its official release.

Based on earlier rumors, the upcoming GeForce RTX 3080 Ti would also have a Founders Edition variety. This is expected to feature the PG132-SKU18 PCB design. It would reportedly house the GA102-225-KD-A1 graphics core.

As for the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, the rumors are confident that the graphics card will feature 10,240 CUDA Cores, 12 GB of GDDR6X VRAM and a 384-bit memory bus. While these details may seem accurate, fans should take these with a pinch of salt in the absence of an official announcement from Nvidia.
