Palm has finally released the long-awaited Mojo Software Development Kit to the crowd.

Starting today, all developer interested in building applications for Palm Pre can now download and use the SDK but submission won’t be accepted until this fall.

The released could end the drought of third-party mobile apps for Palm Pre.

Any interested developer with a valid email address can access the SDK, its associated documentation, and new Mojo developer forums, according to the Company

The SDK can now be downloaded from the new developer portal site launched today called Palm webOSdev at http://developer.palm.com.

In addition, the company announces several upcoming events in which developers might be interested like at today's MobileBeat 2009 conference in San Francisco, webOShelp developer meetup in Sunnyvale at Palm's headquarters on July 28th and an informal network preDevCamp of Mojo developers over 73 cities around the world on August 8, this year.
