  • Peter Weber said he and Hannah Brown had agreed to keep their hookup "private"

Peter Weber is getting candid about how he felt after Hannah Brown wrote about their post-"Bachelorette" hookup in her book despite previously promising not to reveal the details.

Weber wasn't happy about Brown revealing their private encounter in her 2021 memoir "God Bless This Mess," admitting on Us Weekly's "Here for the Right Reasons" podcast that he no longer trusts her.

"I don't think I could confide in her anymore, put it that way," the 30-year-old former "Bachelor" star said. "But I think I probably helped sell a lot of books for her."

Weber also shared that he tried to reach out to the former "Bachelorette" star following the release of her book, but she allegedly did not respond.

"I did not [talk to her after the book came out]. I reached out to her, I received no comment [back] and, you know, it is what is. I personally, I wouldn't have done something like that," the pilot said. "If two people have a private situation and talk and they say that they're gonna keep it private, I just keep it private. I don't know — she now has done that to me on two occasions where she said she's not gonna say anything. And then she says something."

Weber is referring to Brown previously divulging their fantasy suite details during the 2019 season of the ABC series before opening up further on the live "After the Final Rose" about having sex in a windmill four times.

Then, in her memoir, the former Miss Alabama revealed that she and Weber hooked up at his parents' house in February 2020 after Dylan Barbour and Hannah Godwin's engagement party.

Weber, who was the second runner-up on Brown's season, was single at the time as he had secretly ended his engagement to "Bachelor" Season 24 winner Hannah Ann Sluss. However, his season of the show was still airing, and he was trying to navigate his feelings for runner-up Madison Prewett at the time.

For Weber, his hookup with Brown wasn't really "scandalous," explaining that they "had had a past" and had met for the first time after not being able to see each other for a while.

"It was a very, 'What is going on?' moment. And it was just two people kind of exploring that and nothing came from it and that's OK," he continued. "I was never gonna speak on it, but once it got out, like, there was nothing to hide, nothing that I felt bad about or ashamed of. It was what everyone goes through, you know, two people trying to figure stuff out."

Brown and Weber have since moved on. She has been dating fashion sales director Adam Woolard for a year after meeting him on a dating app, People reported.

Meanwhile, Weber is still single following his breakup with former contestant Kelley Flanagan.

In December last year, he shared what he was looking for in his next relationship during an interview with Elite Daily. "I'm looking for someone who can vibe with the adventure lifestyle because I look forward to sharing those experiences someday," he said.
