UPDATE [2:30 P.M.]Phoenix police say one person who was shot is in extremely critical condition; two others' injuries are less severe.

UPDATE [2:15 P.M.] Police said a total of three people have been shot, with two others injured.

Four people have reportedly been shot at an office building complex in Phoenix.

The shooting took place around 10:45 a.m. at a mortgage company complex off 16th Street, north of Glendale Avenue, where multiple police vehicles and fire trucks were on scene, local news affiliate ABC 15 reported.

Police officers and a police dog were seen sifting through the office building's parking lot, FOX 10 news reported, adding that authorities are searching for a suspect described as a white male in his 60s.

The Chevron gas station at the northwest corner of the intersection has been cordoned off, and traffic is heavily congested.

The shooting took place on the same day as a Senate hearing on gun violence.
