Wayne Security is getting a visit from the people of Atlantis in next week’s episode of “Powerless.”

The synopsis for Season 1, episode 3 of the NBC series reveals that the firm loses a client due to Van’s (Alan Tudyk) incompetence. So in an attempt to get the firm a new client, Emily (Vanessa Hudgens) seeks to clinch a deal with the people of Atlantis.

“We have Atlantean businessmen showing up so that Vanessa and the R&D team can pitch them, and Wayne Security can potentially become a contractor,” executive producer Patrick Schumacker told Rotten Tomatoes of the upcoming episode at the NBC party for the Television Critics Association last January.

“[The episode] explores the cultural differences between Atlanteans and our people in Charm City. Also, you find out that Ron (Ron Funches) was born in Atlantis,” added Schumacker.

It seems, however, that enemies of Atlantis hero Aquaman are also paying Charm City a visit in the episode. “We have obscure Aquaman villains showing up and turning people’s arms into tentacles,” Schumacker revealed.

In addition to Atlanteans visitors in the episode, Van’s father (Corbin Bernsen) is also dropping by Wayne Security to set his son on a path of redemption after hearing his massive screw up.

Meanwhile, a new employee named Alex (Matthew Atkinson) starts his first day at the office, and Ron and Teddy (Danny Pudi) are convinced that he is a superhero.

Bernsen is best known for his role as retired police detective Henry Spencer on the USA Network comedy-drama series “Psych.” His other notable acting credits include NBC’s “L.A. Law” and “Major League” film series. Atkinson, on the other hand, has appeared in several episodes of “The Young and the Restless” as Austin Travers. He also played the recurring role of Zack on NBC’s “Parenthood.”

“Powerless” Season 1, episode 3, titled “Sinking Day,” airs on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 8:30 p.m. EST on NBC.
