Prince Charles said something sweet to Princess Diana when she arrived at the altar on their big day.

In the Netflix’s documentary “The Queen’s Diamond Decades,” it was revealed that the Prince of Wales said something sweet to his bride when she joined the groom at the altar. However, Prince Charles’ words were meant to assure the Princess of Wales that he only had his eyes on her that day.

“At the altar awaiting Prince Charles assured his bride-to-be: ‘You look beautiful,’” the documentary claims.

Prior to their wedding, Princess Diana felt that there's something about Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. In fact, Andrew Morton in “Diana: In Her Own Words” said that Princess Diana nearly called off her wedding to Prince Charles because she started having doubts after learning that Camilla gave Prince Charles a wedding present.

In addition, she felt that she was being “cut off” and “isolated.” She had doubts about her decision to tie the knot with Prince Charles but her sisters told her that “it’s too late to chicken out.”

In the 2017 Amazon Prime documentary “The Diana Story,” Paul Burrell shared another intimate detail about the royal wedding. According to him, Princess Diana talked to him about the wedding ceremony and asked him if he noticed her looking from side to side. Princess Diana informed him that she did it because she was looking for Camilla.

The film also commented on Princess Diana’s royal wedding gown with 25 feet long train set. According to the documentary, the People’s Princess didn’t disappoint but instead set a royal record.

Also, Princess Diana’s former butler, Burrell, revealed what was the most special thing to the princess during that event. According to Burrell, Diana told him that “the most wonderful thing was walking down the aisle of St. Paul’s cathedral with my father.”

Camilla and her then husband Andrew Parker Bowles were invited to Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s wedding. Camilla’s husband at the time was even part of the wedding procession. However, Prince William and Prince Harry’s mom reportedly shut down the involvement of Camilla’s son, Tom, in the wedding ceremony.

According to Jessica Jayne’s book “The Duchess of Cornwall: Camilla’s Story and Secrets,” Prince Charles called Camilla before he married Princess Diana and the Prince of Wales was reportedly in a “confused and anxious state of mind” as he told her about his fears.

“I do very much want to do the right thing for this country and for my family – but I’m terrified sometimes of making a promise and then perhaps living to regret it,” Prince Charles told Camilla.
