  • Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George and Princess Charlotte were spotted in Lapland UK
  • Royal fans loved seeing Prince George wearing his mom's winter hat during the sighting
  • Middleton wore the pompom beanie for a series of snowy family photos in the French Alps back in 2016

Prince William and Kate Middleton took their kids to a Christmas-themed park in England during the holidays.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were spotted enjoying a family outing with Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and their nanny, Maria Borrallo, at Lapland U.K. A snap from the sighting was shared by the blog From Berkshire to Buckingham on Instagram Sunday, Page Six reported.

Prince George's winter hat caught the attention of royal fans. The 9-year-old appeared to be sporting a pompom beanie that his mom wore for a series of snowy family photos taken during a getaway in the French Alps in 2016.

The navy hat features a polar bear and snowflake pattern. It was designed by Eisbär, the company that creates hats for the Austrian ski team, and retailed for $60 at the time.

The sight of Prince George wearing his mom's beanie had royal fans gushing on social media.

"Aww, love that George is wearing her hat!" one person commented.

"My son wears my hats too. I learned once you have children, nothing is just yours anymore," another added.

"Lovely to see Prince George wearing his mom's hat. So cute," a third user wrote with a red heart emoji.

Prince George, who carried a stuffed animal in the photo, paired his mom's beanie with jeans and Nike sneakers.

Middleton opted for a double-face wool wrap coat, Chelsea boots and a beanie with a turn-up fold. Prince William was also dressed casually in a green jacket, flat cap, jeans and Nike kicks.

Princess Charlotte walked behind her dad in an outfit that was also inspired by her mom. She wore a mini version of Middleton's brown Penelope Chilvers Tassel Boots — the same pair she chose for the family's 2020 Christmas card — along with maroon leggings and a navy jacket as she hugged her own stuffed animal in the picture.

"The boots Charlotte is wearing are so Kate! She had a similar pair when she was dating William," one online user commented on Charlotte's look.

Prince William and Middleton's third child Prince Louis was not in the photo, prompting some to wonder where the 4-year-old royal was. Some speculated that he was present during the outing but was just not in the frame.

"Where was Louis?" a royal fan asked.

"Might be out of shot? It looks like William is holding a stuffed animal which all the kids get from Santa there, so that could be Louis,'" another replied.

"[Louis is] definitely ahead of them all running," a different royal fan jokingly wrote with a laughing emoji.

The Waleses were previously seen together during the royal family's Christmas walkabout at Sandringham in Norfolk, England. At the time, Prince Louis made his Christmas service debut and stole the hearts of royal fans when he was seen running and calling his big sister Charlotte to give her a little bouquet from the crowd.
