Prince George's First Birthday: New Photos Show Royal Playing With Butterfllies

As Prince George gets ready to celebrate his first birthday on Tuesday, two new photos have been released of the precious royal and his parents.

In the pictures, Prince George is seen in his mother’s arms and sitting on her lap as they watch butterflies at a museum exhibit. According to People, the images were taken at the Sensational Butterflies exhibit at London’s Natural History Museum by John Stillwell, a photographer with the British Press Association.

Stillwell is also responsible for the royal’s first official solo portrait, which was released by Clarence House on Monday. The image was posted to the CH twitter with the following caption:

“Look who’s walking! Here’s our little Prince ahead of his 1st birthday on 22nd July #HappyBirthdayPrinceGeorge.”
