  • Prince Harry was spotted using a private airport service when he arrived in Los Angeles from London this month, a report says
  • Members of the service would have to pay $4,500 annually and fork over another $3,000 per trip
  • Twitter users had mixed opinions over Prince Harry using the airport service

Prince Harry was reportedly spotted making use of a lavish private airport service earlier this month.

In photos obtained by Daily Mail, the Duke of Sussex got into a white Chevrolet SUV when he arrived at the Los Angeles International Airport following his quick trip to the U.K. this month. Prince Harry's face was not clearly visible in the photos due to his black face mask, but he was seen sporting a white shirt, dark jeans and a cap.

The car Prince Harry used was reportedly from a private airport service called The Private Suite. International Business Times could not independently verify this information.

According to Forbes, the company offers "the first and only aircraft door to car door service in the U.S." and eliminates the "need to enter or even use the airport terminal" for customers.

Annual membership would cost each person $4,500, and they would have to pay an extra $3,000 per trip, according to its website. The perks that come with this hefty price include being able to exit the plane on private stairs before other passengers and having one's luggage collected by Private Suite staff members, among others.

The service is run by Gavin de Becker and Associates, which was reportedly the security firm Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hired when they moved to California.

Twitter users weighed in on the report, with some claiming the move appeared to contradict Prince Harry's environmental protection advocacy while others suggested there was nothing wrong with the Sussexes wanting extra privacy and security when they travel.

"Nothing surprising," one person tweeted with a facepalm emoji.

"Private planes and super gas consuming luxury vehicles. But they preach about the environment. The hypocrisy of it all," another netizen wrote.

"Yet he received an award 4 combating the environmental crisis by only have 2 children! Makes the people that handed the award out look ridiculous!" another tweeted.

One Twitter user commented, "This is their money to spend how they wish."

Another explained, "It's not ultra-exclusive. It's expensive, like NFL starter salary expensive, but you could book it. And a lot of recognizable people have used it more during COVID because you get your own waiting 'suite'. Most just use the typical back portal to each airline as before COVID."

"I don't see what all the fuss is about. If I could afford it, I'd use it too. It eliminates all the bad parts of traveling commercial. Queuing for baggage check, TSA search, long walks to your terminal, crowds, fast food and crowded restrooms...no thanks," another user tweeted.

Earlier this month, U.K. charity Population Matters awarded Markle and Prince Harry for their "enlightened decision" to have only two children.

"Having a smaller family reduces our impact on the Earth, and provides a better chance for all our children, their children and future generations to flourish on a healthy planet," a spokesperson for Population Matters said in a statement obtained by Sky News. "We commend the duke and duchess for taking this enlightened decision, and for affirming that a smaller family is also a happy family."
