Prince William and Kate Middleton have taught their kids a lot of things, but there’s something that the doting parents are particular about when they are traveling.

Kara Godfrey, a journalist for Express, said that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have taught their kids to wave using their dominant hands when meeting royal fans.

Middleton is right-handed, while Prince William is left-handed. When the couple is waving to the crowd, their hands are almost always close to each other. And during their recent outings with their kids, it has been evident that Prince George has taken after his dad, and Princess Charlotte has also taken after Prince William.

Prince George waves to the public using her left hand, and Princess Charlotte has also followed in her older brother’s footsteps. Middleton previously revealed that she found out Prince George was left-handed when he started playing tennis.

And in the past, Prince William has also expressed his desire for his son to be left-handed so that he can be a brainbox. The term is used for writers and musicians who are great at their craft because they are left-handed.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Middleton’s two older children are not the only members of the royal family that have perfected the so-called Windsor wave. Meghan Markle has also been an expert at it since her engagement to Prince Harry.

On her wedding day on May 19, the Duchess of Sussex also greeted the crowd by waving at them, and she used her left hand in doing so. Prince Harry, on the other hand, waved to the public using his right hand so his and Markle’s hands were positioned a bit far from each other.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles wave to the crowd using their right hand. And when Princess Diana was still alive, she also waved to the public using her right hand.
