Prince William and Kate Middleton are rarely seen looking at the cameras in their photos for a reason.

In the final episode of 9Honey’s royal podcast “The Windsor,” Juliet Rieden explained why the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s photos appear as if most were stolen shots. According to her, this is because Prince William and Middleton don’t really stop to pose for photos.

“You will find that it is very difficult to get a picture of William and Catherine looking straight at the camera, because it is not something they naturally do,” Rieden said.

The author of “The Royals in Australia“ said that this could be due to Prince William’s feelings toward the press. The future king and his brother Prince Harry have an indifference to the media and this is evident in their behavior during royal tours and engagements.

“He doesn't court the media ... his focus is on meeting the people. He walks straight past the media, he will not stand and pose,” Rieden said of Prince William.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem to be taking cues from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. When the couple made their royal tour in the Pacific, Prince Harry and Markle “studiously ignored” the press that followed them throughout their trip.

9Honey’s Natalie Oliveri said that they followed Prince Harry and Markle in every engagement they attended to bring light to the issues they champion. However, the couple never looked to the media and they just passed by pretending as if they were not there.

Prince Harry and Prince William partly blamed the paparazzi chasing their mom Princess Diana for the tragic accident that killed her. The Duke of Sussex shared how he felt about the incident in 2017 during Princess Diana’s 20th death anniversary.

According to Prince Harry, one of the hardest things he couldn’t accept was the fact that the people who chased their mother were the same people who took her photographs while she was dying on the back seat of the car. The Princess of Wales had a severe head injury but was still very much alive after the collision. But those people who caused the accident were still taking photographs of her on the back seat and the pictures even made their way to news desks.
