Princess Diana has been blamed for the fallout of her marriage to Prince Charles. Royal experts said that marriage wouldn’t have survived if only one person is exerting the effort. In the same way that a marriage won’t fail if both people are trying to make things work.

On the online forum site Quora, one royal fan said that the Princess of Wales shouldn’t be blamed for the end of her marriage to the heir to the throne. After all, she was very committed to her husband especially at the beginning of their marriage.

“Diana was deeply and truly in love with Prince Charles. On the day their engagement was announced she beamed proudly linking his arm and said ‘I’ll be alright. He’s with me.’ My heart broke for her. She constantly referred to each other as “a team”. She would have been a model Princess of Wales and Queen had it not been for the horrendous way she was treated. She was a great addition to the Royal family in the early years and I feel this would have continued had it not been for the way she was cruelly betrayed,” Rhys Hoffman, an author, and social advocate said.

The royal fan went on to say that Princess Diana was asked if she would take Prince Charles back if he apologized to her, and she immediately said yes. The late royal’s response was more than enough indication that she really loved her husband.

Another royal fan said that the only thing Princess Diana could be blamed for was her being naïve. After all, she got into a relationship with Prince Charles when she was just 19 years old.

Prince Charles and Princess Diana tied the knot in 1981. The couple announced their trial separation in 1992. And in 1996, their divorce was finalized after Queen Elizabeth II urged them to legally end their union.
