Princess Diana was reportedly in a loveless marriage to Prince Charles. Other than the fact that the former couple wasn’t a perfect match, it was also revealed that they were always distant from each other even behind closed doors.

Kenneth Rose, a veteran diarist, kept a private journal that contains all of his stories from his encounters with the members of the royal family or those close to them. Following his death in 2014, a copy of his private journals was released.

Years ago, he revealed that he got into a conversation with Princess Diana’s stepmother, Raine Spencer. The latter invited Rose to have lunch with her at Althorp. While there, Spencer said that she feels bad for Princess Diana.

“They don’t look to me like two people in love. They have different bedrooms and she never seems to want to touch him. When he says, ‘Give me a kiss,’ she does not respond. She has no artistic side to match his, which is a further gulf,” she said.

In his April 5, 1993 entry, Rose said that Princess Diana is very cunning. He revealed that after the late royal found out that Prince Charles would be in his new quarters in St. James’s Palace, she turned up and asked if she could see his bedroom.

Princess Diana even insisted on buying Prince Charles a small table for his new quarters, and the heir to the throne was seemingly terrified of his wife. At that time, Prince Charles and Princess Diana had already been separated for months.

Meanwhile, Rose also made a shocking claim about the Princess of Wales’ Panorama interview. She said that the mom of two recorded it for 17 straight hours and she redid her statements multiple times until they looked sincere.

After watching the interview, Queen Elizabeth urged the Prince and Princess of Wales to divorce. And Princess Margaret expressed her happiness over the fact that Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson will no longer be members of the royal family.
