Princess Diana Sent 'Rude, Provocative' Birthday Card To Accountant

Princess Diana is popular for her hilarious and naughty gifts, and her accountant wasn't exempt from her antics.

The late Princess of Wales previously gave her sons Prince William and Prince Harry funny presents. However, Carly Read, a journalist for Express, finds one of her gifts to her accountant "rude" and "provocative."

According to the report, the People's Princess sent her accountant and friend, Anthony Burrage, a birthday card featuring Sleeping Beauty. However, the words above the cartoon and inside the card made the gift hilarious and a little provocative.

"A little prick in the hand sent Sleeping Beauty to sleep," the words in the cover read. "Only the big ones are worth staying awake for!...." the message printed inside the card read.

Princess Diana addressed the card to Tony and wrote, "A belated Happy Birthday for the 5th!"

The card's current owner reportedly got it from a collector of Princess Diana's things but decided to sell it in an auction with a starting bid at $197.

The Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex had a lot of fun times with their mom, too. According to Paul Burrell, Princess Diana once gave Prince Harry a fake dog poo on his stockings. Hence, the royal brothers couldn't help but recall their fond memories with Princess Diana on her death anniversary.

"There's a couple of memories I have that are particularly funny. Just outside this room where we are now, she organised, when I came home from school to have Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell waiting at the top of the stairs," Prince William said.

"I was probably 12 or 13-year-old boy who had posters of them on my wall. And I went bright red and didn't quite know what to say and sort of fumbled, and I think I pretty much fell down the stairs on the way up," the duke added. "I was completely and utterly sort of awestruck. But that was a very funny memory that - that's lived with me forever about her loving and embarrassing and sort of, you know being - being the sort of the joker."

According to Prince Harry, Princess Diana encouraged them to "be as naughty as you want." However, she also warned them, "just don' get caught." "She was one of the naughtiest parents," Prince Harry said about their royal mom.
