KEY POINTS

  • Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon appeared in three reality shows with her family
  • The expectant mom did not achieve the same level of popularity as her sister Alana Thompson
  • Her net worth is estimated to be much less than her younger sister’s

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is currently under the care of her older sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, but the former has surprisingly earned more than the latter despite their age gap.

Pumpkin, 21, has a net worth of $200,000, according to Celebrity Net Worth. This means that her accumulated earnings were much less than that of her 15-year-old sister. Nevertheless, Lauryn is still the one taking care of Alana’s needs for the time being since the latter is still a minor.

As previously reported, Honey Boo Boo has an estimated net worth of $400,000 after starring in three reality series — “Toddlers & Tiaras,” “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” and “Mama June: From Not To Hot” — and making other TV appearances, such as her stint on “Dancing With the Stars.”

The third among Mama June’s four daughters also appeared in all three reality shows, but Alana got to enjoy more fame than her. Prior to the current show, where Pumpkin is getting a lot of attention for taking care of Honey Boo Boo while Mama June is working on herself post-addiction, the last time Lauryn generated a lot of buzz was when she got pregnant and gave birth to her daughter, Ella Grace, at just 17.

While the family’s earnings from their ongoing We TV series remain undisclosed, TMZ reported in 2015 that Mama June and her daughters earned $22,500 per episode of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” and had to split that up among themselves.

Despite earning a decent amount of money from their reality shows compared to other stars, Pumpkin somehow got into a series of financial problems as seen on their current show, which is subtitled “Road To Redemption.” Such problems became even more evident when she was made Alana’s “de facto guardian,” according to TheCinemaholic.

At present, Pumpkin and her 24-year-old husband Josh Efird are doing everything they can to make things work, especially now that they are expecting another child — a baby boy who is due this July. Furthermore, Alana is still under the care of Lauryn as the verdict on Mama June’s drug possession case is still out.

Meanwhile, compared to her two daughters, Mama June’s net worth has been revealed to be much less as it sits at around the $50,000 mark.

It can be noted that in the earlier seasons of “From Not To Hot,” Mama June spent about $75,000 on her body transformation. She also previously admitted to spending almost $1 million on drugs at the peak of her addiction.
