When the President of China, Xi Jinping, visited the U.K in 2015 the event was deemed a success. Now, footage has emerged that that may not be the whole truth. The queen was caught on camera a year later discussing the Chinese official's treatment of the British Ambassador.

In the video obtained by Express, her Majesty is introduced to Metropolitan Police Commander Lucy D’Orsi, who oversaw the security during President Xi’s visit.

Upon hearing that D'Orsi was the Gold Commander during the visit, the Queen responded, “Oh, bad luck.”

“I was the Gold Commander, so I’m not sure whether you knew, but it was quite a testing time,” D'Orsi continued, to which Queen Elizabeth acknowledged, “I did.”

The police officer continued, “It was at the point they walked out of Lancaster House and told me that the trip was off, that I felt…”

“They were very rude to the ambassador,” the Queen recalled.

D’Orsi confirmed, “They were."

Knowing that the British Ambassador was treated so poorly, perhaps they have adopted the Queen's way of getting out of uncomfortable situations. That is if they are comfortable wearing a purse. If not, there are other ways to notify staff and other officials, such as clothing and accessories.
