  • Michael Madsen revealed Quentin Tarantino wanted to make a movie about the Vega Brothers
  • Madsen played Vic Vega in "Reservoir Dogs" while John Travolta portrayed Vincent Vega in "Pulp Fiction"
  • The actor also noted that Tarantino had a crazy idea for the movie, but it never took off

Michael Madsen, who played the character of Vic Vega in Quentin Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs,” recently revealed that the filmmaker was working on a prequel that would have reunited Vic and “Pulp Fiction’s” Vincent Vega. John Travolta portrayed Vincent in the 1994 blockbuster film.

In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, the 62-year-old star noted that Tarantino did a lot of discussions about the prequel with him and Travolta. The “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” helmer also pitched an idea on how the movie should turn out to be.

Madsen further stated that the movie would have started with the Vega Brothers coming out of jail and starting a new club in Amsterdam.

“We were supposed to be in Amsterdam, criminally. The picture was going to start out with the two of us being released from prison in different states. And we open up a club in Amsterdam,” Madsen said.

The “Kill Bill: Volume 2” star also explained the idea Tarantino had in his mind for the movie. Madsen claimed that the Academy Award-winning filmmaker was thinking of reuniting the “twin brothers” Vic and Vincent, who met after the death of their siblings.

“He had come up with this idea that it would be the twin brothers of Vic and Vincent, who met after the deaths of their siblings. It was very complicated, but when Quentin starts discussing an idea, it is very easy to go along with it,” Madsen said.

Reservoir Dogs” and “Pulp Fiction” are considered to be two of the greatest crime movies of all time.

“Reservoir Dogs” was Tarantino’s first feature film that earned him universal acclaim. The movie currently holds a score of 92% on review site Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, “Pulp Fiction” turned out to be even more successful than his first film.

Starring Travolta, Uma Thurman, and Samuel L. Jackson in pivotal roles, the movie was nominated for seven Academy Awards and won in the Best Screenplay category.

Tarantino has always been interested in many projects that never took off. Recently, Pierce Brosnan revealed that the “Django Unchained” director was interested in making a “James Bond” film with him and pitched an idea about his version of the iconic character.

The actor also explained that he did talk to the bosses about the movie with Tarantino, but they decided to pass on the idea.

“Anyway, he wanted to do ‘James Bond.’ I went back to the shop and told them, but it was not meant to be. No Quentin Tarantino for ‘James Bond.’ What a shame. That would be a good one to watch,” Brosnan said.
