A war of words between one of WWE’s biggest superstars and a popular rapper took over social media Tuesday morning. Randy Orton became the top trend on Twitter after he ripped into Soulja Boy for his comments about professional wrestling.

It all stemmed from Soulja Boy’s tweet Sunday that read, “Rap game faker than WWE.” Calling the sports-entertainment organization “fake” drew the ire of WWE wrestler T-Bar, and then Orton took notice of what the rapper said.

Orton, who has been a professional wrestler for two decades, didn’t hold back in defending his craft. The 40-year-old described wrestlers as “actors that do stunts, without pads 200 days a year,” and said his fellow WWE superstars were much tougher than anyone Soujla Boy knows.

Orton wasn’t done, following up his first tweet by saying rapper Bad Bunny would beat up Soulja Boy. Bad Bunny has appeared on WWE’s “Monday Night Raw” for several weeks and currently holds the promotion’s 24/7 Championship belt.

Bad Bunny is expected to have a match at WrestleMania 37 in April.

Soulja Boy stood his ground and even doubled-down on calling wrestling fake. The rapper appeared to take the beef less seriously than Orton, retweeting accounts thats found the interaction entertaining.

Another rapper, Bow Wow, also joined the fray. Bow Wow said last month that he started to train for a potential match in WWE after he had a back-and-forth of his own with T-Bar.
