A walk in the park turned into a storm of backlash for "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star Shannon Beador.

The 56-year-old took to social media over the weekend to share how she was spending her time amid the current coronavirus outbreak. In a photo, which was posted to Instagram, Shannon and her boyfriend, John Janssen, are joined by fellow "RHOC" star Braunwyn Windham-Burke and her husband Sean on a stretch of lush green grass.

"Look who John and I ran into on our walk," Shannon captioned the pic followed by the hashtags #socialdistancing #6feetapart #neighbor #gratefultobeoutsodeforabit.

Although they all appeared to be safely distanced from each other in the photo, that wasn't what fans thought.

"Even though you didn’t mean to Do not promote this. Encourage people to stay away from each other," one user cautioned. Others flat out attacked the reality star commenting things like "Go home! Stop pushing the boundaries for photos!" and "Get in the house!! Your [sic] a liability!"

Shannon had no problem defending herself though. Responding to the negative comments, she explained that she's well aware of what is and what is not allowed when it comes to being self-quarantined.

"I have a lung condition so I am very diligent about the guidelines," she stated. "There is nothing wrong with getting fresh air and staying away from people. In fact I have been encouraged by my doctors to stay active to keep my lungs as clear as possible."

Following all the backlash, Shannon updated her caption to include the following disclaimer: "UPDATE: Unbelievable some of these comments. I am in quarantine with John who is next to me on the grass," she wrote. "We are following all guidelines and I have taken this seriously— to the point of obsession because I have a lung condition. Ask my kids. Hoping everyone stays healthy and safe."
