The official website released spoiler stills and synopsis for "Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World" Season 2, Episode 9 teasing what happens next.

The synopsis suggests Echidna invites Subaru for her witch tea party for the second time. She reveals he should be grateful for the invitation. Meanwhile, Subaru tells Echidna about his Return by Death ability, which he never talked about before. After listening to his heart-wrenching tale, Echidna reveals she might know who is responsible for giving him this ability and is making him suffer.

The preview trailer shows Subaru and Echidna’s tea party is interrupted by someone. It remains to be seen if the attacker is behind Subaru’s never-ending suffering.

In "Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World" Season 2, Episode 8 named "The Value of Life," Ram, Otto and Subaru are in the forest figuring out a way to leave the village. However, Garfiel follows them and confronts Subaru.

Later, in an attempt to re-capture Subaru, Garfiel transforms into a monster and goes on a rampage. Just when Garfiel is ready to kill Subaru, Otto jumps in and Garfiel obliterates him.
