Rocket League is the latest PlayStation 4 title to get PlayStation 4 Pro support, according to the PlayStation Blog.

A patch that’ll release Feb. 21 will allow for the game to run at 60 frames per second at 1080p on a standard PS4 and 4K on a PS4 Pro. The new performance floor can be seen in all single-player and two-player split screen multiplayer modes. Sony also guarantees the same performance with three-player and four-player split screen in most arenas.

The graphics patch includes a handful of secondary updates for the game. The Twin Mill III and Bone Shaker Hot Wheels DLC will be available to purchase and additional free Hot Wheels items like Toppers and Antennas are included as post-game item drops. Other additions include a “Player’s Choice” crate, along with various performance and bug fixes.

Rocket League is a multiplayer and single-player game that revolves around you controlling a Hot Wheels-esque tiny car. Similarly to football or soccer, players must use the car to boot a large ball into a goal to earn points.

The PS4 Pro launched last fall as a premium hardware update to Sony’s home console and prominently features support for 4K graphics. The console is similar to Microsoft’s Xbox One S, which also features 4K support and various hardware updates.

Rocket League is one of several titles that have received patches to either bring games up to native 4K or offered improved graphics performance for the PS4 Pro. While updates have been used for games that were previously released, newer games like Resident Evil 7 feature native 4K support out of the box. With the PS4 Pro and 4K televisions becoming more commonplace, expect games to quickly follow suit.
