Director Ruben Fleischer has shared it will be exciting to watch a crossover between Tom Hardy's Venom and Tom Holland's Spider-Man.

The 47-year-old director, who helmed the first installment of the "Venom" franchise, explained that these two Marvel characters coming together (as already shown in the Marvel comic books) will be a "dream come true" for him.

"We'll have to see. I mean, it would be honestly a dream come true to have those two worlds converge," he told Cinemablend on Tuesday. "It'll be a formidable battle between those two characters, so… whether or not I direct it, I'll certainly be excited to see it."

Fleischer was not part of the second installment, titled "Venom: Let There Be Carnage," which was released last October. The movie was directed by actor Andy Serkis, who appeared in movies like "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes" and "The Lord of the Rings."

Fans can expect a crossover between Spider-Man and Venom soon as the second installment's post-credit scenes showed Venom looking at Spider-Man on television after he got exposed in "Spider-Man: Far from Home."

The post-credit scenes of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" showed Hardy's character getting transported to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as he tries to figure out what happened with Avengers and Thanos while having a conversation with a bartender.

Fleischer completed filming the action flick, "Uncharted," which is based on a video game of the same name. The movie stars Holland, Mark Wahlberg, Sophia Ali, Antonio Banderas, Patricia Meeden and Sarah Petrick. It is slated to release on Feb. 18.

The director will also helm a comedy movie, "The Regional Office Is Under Attack," which revolves around a group of female operatives who are supposed to protect the earth from alien threats. The cast of the sci-fi comedy is yet to be announced.

Besides direction, Fleischer will also produce a TV series, "The White House Plumbers," which will drop on HBO Max this year.
