A Russian YouTuber has allegedly received a $1,000 payment for live-streaming his pregnant girlfriend's demise on a subzero balcony.

Stas Reeflay, 30, locked 28-year-old Valentina Grigoryeva out on the balcony, reported the New York Post. Grigoryeva, who was wearing only underwear, is suspected to have died of hypothermia after being left out in the cold for up to 15 minutes.

Reeflay, whose real name is Stanislav Reshetnikov, continued the broadcast despite seeing her girlfriend "half-dead" on the balcony of his rented home in the village of Ivanovka, near Moscow. He faces 15 years in jail.

According to a report by news.com.au, Reeflay could be seen in the live stream carrying Grigoryev back inside the home, where he tried to revive her. "Valya, are you alive?" He could be heard saying. "My bunny, what's up with you? You look like you are dead."

With Grigoryeva still unresponsive, Reeflay continued to panic. "Bunny, come on … tell me something. I'm worrying. Damn … I'm not feeling her heartbeat."

"Guys … No pulse … She's pale. She is not breathing," he informed his viewers. The torture was allegedly watched and even encouraged by the spectators.

The broadcast continued even as Reeflay called an ambulance. Paramedics were later seen arriving and pronouncing Grigoryeva dead. As the Russian state media outlet RT reported, Reeflay refused the responders' requests to end the broadcast. "What is there to regret? I didn't really do anything," he told them.

The YouTuber has allegedly been making money from the "online donations" he gets from his Russian and international viewers.

A friend said that Reeflay's content had been "full of cruelty" toward Grigoryeva. In a previous live stream, Reeflay had allegedly used pepper spray on her.

A probe will be held on other unlawful action of Reeflay against Grigoryeva, the Russian Investigative Committee announced. "An urgent investigation is now underway with checks on whether other laws were broken in the live broadcast," the committee said.

Meanwhile, YouTube has removed the graphic content after learning about the tragic incident. "Although the original live stream did not take place on YouTube, we quickly removed re-uploads and terminated the associated account," said a YouTube representative as per The New York Post.
