Paul Rudd has been named People's "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2021, and his fellow stars Ryan Reynolds and Josh Gad have some really interesting things to say about his achievement.

After the title was unveiled by Stephen Colbert on CBS' "The Late Show" Tuesday, Gad took to Twitter to express his true feelings about his friend's recognition, which ranged from disappointment to acceptance.

"If I had to lose out to someone, I'm happy it's Paul," the Frozen actor wrote in the post, which was accompanied by an image of the magazine's cover featuring Rudd.

As for Reynolds, he was asked about his opinion about Rudd's milestone as he appeared on the "Today Show" Wednesday. In response, the "Deadpool" actor jokingly said that though he was "very excited" about Rudd's newest accolade, he thought "this opportunity will be wasted on [Rudd], like so many before him."

Reynolds, who was given the same title in 2010, decided to help his friend out by imparting some of his precious wisdom to Rudd.

"He's going to play it shy. He's going to play it bashful, humble," he said of Rudd. "If I know what I knew now, I wouldn't do that. You got to seize this opportunity."

Reynolds even shared what he would do differently if he were given the title anew.

"I'm not saying I would leave my family, but they would need to go on without me," he quipped. "I would roam the world clutching my dog-eared People magazine, going from town to town, sowing my wild oats like some sort of nude, magical gardener. It would be amazing."

The actor ended his advice with a word of warning.

"Don't blow this, Rudd," Reynolds said. "If you're there, do not blow this opportunity. Run like the wind."

Interestingly, it seems Rudd has no plans of being humble about it at all.

"I'm going to own this. I'm not going to try to be like 'Oh, I'm so modest.' I'm getting business cards made," he told People in a recent interview.

He even hopes it would change his life a lot.

"I'm hoping now that I'll finally be invited to some of those sexy dinners with Clooney and Pitt and B Jordan," he added. "And I figure I'll be on a lot more yachts. I'm excited to expand my yachting life. And I'll probably try to get better at brooding in really soft light. I like to ponder. I think this is going to help me become more inward and mysterious. And I'm looking forward to that."
