The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has brought the whole world down to its knees. Nations have imposed lockdowns to prevent the spread of the disease and a lot of people have lost their jobs because of the crisis. The grim situation has made everyone anxious and Selena Gomez is no exception.

Speaking in an interview with Puma, the 27-year-old musician said she is currently living in isolation with her grandparents and enjoying her time with her family. Gomez then revealed that she likes to stay updated with what is happening around the world amid the pandemic, but she warned that taking breaks from the news from time to time is also important.

The “Lose You To Love Me” hitmaker also noted that she feels “unsettled” whenever she thinks of all the people who are suffering due to the coronavirus.

“Like everyone else, I am feeling unsettled and going through a variety of emotions during this time. For that reason, I think it's important to stay informed and be aware of the latest news, but also take breaks from it because it can be overwhelming,” Gomez said.

A lot of people are finding new ways to stay in touch with their loved ones. From playing games online to video calls, technology is helping everyone to stay connected, according to the Hollywood artist.

When asked how she stays in touch with her loved ones, Gomez said that she is doing a lot of video calls to all the people that she cares about as she wants them to know that she will always be there for them.

“Picking up the phone and calling people has never been more important. Also checking in with people even if you haven't connected in a while,” Gomez said.

Recently, the “Good For You” singer announced that she will be helping the people who have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis. She said she will be donating $1 for every order of the “Rare” Deluxe Edition album through her store.

“I am personally donating to the Plus 1 COVID-19 relief fund as well as donating $1 of every order in my official store to the fund starting now ... ,” Gomez said.
