Veteran actress Sharon Stone slammed the people who do not wear masks when going out during the pandemic and said that her sister has been diagnosed with COVID-19 because of them.

Taking it to Instagram, the 62-year-old Hollywood star shared some pictures of her younger sister Kelly’s hospital room and made a plea to her followers to wear masks whenever they step out of their homes. She revealed that her sister already suffers from Lupus and does not have a strong “immune system.”

Stone has blamed the people who do not cover their faces in public and said that “one of the non-mask wearers” is responsible for her sister’s condition, Entertainment Weekly reported.

“My sister Kelly, who already has lupus, now has COVID-19. This is her hospital room. One of you Non-Mask wearers did this. She does not have an immune system,” Stone wrote on Instagram.

The Oscar-nominated actress also revealed that testing is limited in Kelly’s home county and so she once again urged the people to wear face masks for everyone’s sake.

“The only place she went to was the pharmacy. There is no testing in her county unless you are symptomatic, & then it’s 5-day wait for results. Can YOU FACE THIS ROOM ALONE? Wear a mask! For yourself and others. Please, ” Stone wrote.

The “Basic Instinct” star later shared a picture of Kelly alongside her husband, Bruce. The actress asked her fans to “light candles” for the couple.

“Please light candles for my sister Kelly and her husband, my dear friend Bruce,” Stone captioned the image.

Stone’s plea for people to wear masks comes a couple of weeks after Alyssa Milano revealed that she had tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies. She explained that her whole body was experiencing excruciating “pain” and it felt like an “elephant” was sitting on her chest.

Milano noted on social media that she took three tests to confirm if she has contracted the life-threatening disease. All the tests came back “negative.” Hence, she was shocked after learning the result of her recent testing. In her post, she also urged her fans to wear a mask and wash their hands to prevent the spread of the disease.

“Low grade fever. And the headaches were horrible. I basically had every COVID symptom. At the very end of March, I took two covid19 tests and both were negative. I also took a COVID antibody test (the finger prick test) after I was feeling a bit better. NEGATIVE . I just want you to be aware that our testing system is flawed and we don’t know the real numbers. Please wash your hands and wear a mask and social distance. I don’t want anyone to feel the way I felt. Be well,” Milano stated.

As of late, the U.S. has witnessed 5.5 million cases and 173,128 deaths due to COVID-19.
