Shawn Johnson has accused a Transportation Security Association (TSA) agent of groping her at the airport when she traveled with breast milk. In a now-expired Instagram Story, she revealed that a TSA agent inappropriately touched and publicly humiliated her before she boarded her flight.

The Olympic gold medalist welcomed her second child with her husband Andrew East in July and has been an open book about her breastfeeding journey. On Oct. 10, she took to her Instagram Stories to share a humiliating experience she had with a TSA agent, who allegedly groped her as she passed through a security checkpoint carrying breast milk.

“We as mamas have a duty to our babies and a right in this world to carry breast milk through security,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “Having you publicly humiliate me in proving to you it was actually breast milk was against my rights. To then be groped and yelled at in public was excessive. I know you were doing your job, but so was I,” she added.

In another Instagram Story, she appealed directly to the TSA agent, writing, “To the lady at the TSA checkpoint having a bad day, I’m really sorry you have had a bad day but taking it out on me was unnecessary. I can honestly say that was one of the worst experiences I have had.”

Johnson did not reveal when the incident happened. However, photos on her Instagram account showed that she traveled to Austin over the weekend. In an Instagram photo she posted Monday, she wrote she was having “the best time” at Texas's Austin City Limits Music Festival.

Meanwhile, a TSA spokesperson provided information about its policies regarding carrying breast milk. “Breast milk is, of course, permitted,” a spokesperson told E! Tuesday.

“We are supportive of passengers traveling with breast milk and other essential nutrition for their children and that is why we provide the details on our screening protocols on our website,” the spokesperson said.
