'The Sims 4' Upcoming Expansion Pack In Development, Seemingly Confirmed By Maxis

"The Sims 4" 11th expansion pack titled "Cottage Living" was rolled out on July 22 and it looks like another expansion pack is in development based on the latest slip-up by one of its game designers.

Released in 2014, "The Sims 4" is, by far, the longest-running series installment from Maxis and Electronic Arts. While both video games giants have not yet announced if there will be another expansion pack coming to the hit social simulation game, it appears that recent activity by Maxis has confirmed the existence of the upcoming downloadable content, as spotted by SimsCommunity.

Recently, the team held the Maxis Extra Life Livestream to raise funds for the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. During the event, the group discussed a wide range of topics and played varieties of games.

Earlier, the team talked about design elements, concepts and other aspects of "The Sims 4." While the members were playing games from Jackbox 6, they introduced themselves.

"The Sims" Senior Designer and Design Lead known as SimGuruJessica introduced herself as the Senior Game Designer and Lead Designer on an upcoming The Sims 4 Expansion Pack. This, in a way, confirmed that another expansion pack is in the pipeline and could arrive very soon.

Since this information is not yet official, fans want to know what the upcoming expansion pack would bring to the game. "Cottage Living" centers on country life and features different animals like cows, llamas, chickens, foxes, rabbits and wild birds.

On a forum dedicated to the hit game series, some fans shared their expectations from the upcoming expansion pack. "Really curious to know what this is! I'd love a time travel into different pasts and maybe even the future! Also would love more romantic/attraction options, maybe in a honeymoon getaway type pack. Occult is always welcomed, and horses! I think at this point it's harder to know what they're making," forum user ashcrash19 said.

"SimGuruJessica has been posting pictures of coffee on Twitter. Hope she's been working on an awesome new EP to be released in time for Christmas," forum user crocobaura speculated.

While the latest information about the next "The SIms 4" expansion pack is interesting, fans should take it as highly speculative at this stage.
