Hallmark Channel’s very merry holiday season continues with the newest “Countdown to Christmas” holiday premiere, the first in a series of interconnected films, “Sister Swap: Hometown Holiday.” The film, which stars Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Ashley Williams and Mark Deklin, premieres Sunday night.

The first film of the two focuses on one of the sister characters, with Williams-Paisley starring in this story. While some may recognize her for a breakout role as Annie in the “Father of The Bride” movies, or for her recent role in Netflix’s “The Christmas Chronicles” movies, she is also a very familiar face on Hallmark. She has starred in the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries “Darrow & Darrow” films, as well as “A Nashville Christmas Carol” and “The Christmas Train.”

As for Deklin, he will also be a familiar face to Hallmark fans. He has starred previously in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film “Meet me at Christmas,” as well as several titles for Hallmark Channel, including “Switched for Christmas,” “Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa,” “Love and Sunshine” and “Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy.”

Susan Yeagley, Kevin Nealon, Jacob Buster and Keith Robinson also star.

This will, however, be the pair’s first film together. So what can fans expect in this first part of a two-film tale? Let’s find out.

“Jennifer (Williams-Paisley) and Meg Swift (Williams) are sisters who couldn’t be closer despite living in different cities. Jennifer runs a successful restaurant in Salt Lake City, which she started with her late husband and is raising her teenage son Simon (Jacob Buster) on her own,” a synopsis for the film reads. “Jennifer is thrilled when Meg comes to Salt Lake City for a fun Christmas weekend. Meg agrees to stay in the city and help out at the restaurant while Jennifer and Simon return home to Hazelwood for the holiday, where they become wistful for one more Christmas at The Madison—the local movie theater owned by their Uncle Dave (Nealon).”

However, when Jenifer arrives home, she sees that the theater, which is now for sale, is in need of repairs, meaning she will need to work with a familiar face of her past to try and restore the Madison to its former glory.

“With help from Eric (Deklin), Jennifer’s former high school debate team rival, and the community, they just might pull off one last encore,” the synopsis says. “As she and Eric work together, Jennifer is reminded that new possibilities are both where you least expect them and exactly where you left them.”

“Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday” airs Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
