Snoop Dogg has given his personal blunt roller a salary raise so he can keep up with inflation. Before the raise, his blunt roller, whose job is to make sure he always has perfectly rolled weed, received a salary of $40,000 to $50,000 a year.

The rapper revealed Wednesday on Twitter that he had raised the salary of his full-time blunt roller due to inflation, which has resulted in the cost of petrol, food and energy skyrocketing in the U.S. Sharing a tweet by Twitter account UberFacts that says, “Snoop Dogg employs a full-time blunt roller who makes between $40,000-$50,000 a year,” he wrote, “Inflation. Their salary went up!”

Snoop Dogg first talked about his blunt roller during an interview on “The Howard Stern Show” in 2019. “That mother***er is like the Lurch from ‘The Addams Family,’ ‘you rang?’” he said, suggesting that the job involves making sure a marijuana cigarette is ready whenever he wants to smoke.

“Timing. That mother***er’s timing is impeccable. That’s his J-O-B, his occupation. On his resume, it says, ‘What do you do?’ ‘I’m a blunt roller. P-B-R, professional blunt roller.’ If you’re great at something I need, I’m hiring you,” he added.

He also revealed at the time how much he pays his blunt roller and said the job involves many perks. “That’s somewhere between $40,000 and $50,000 a year. Free weed—all paid expenses. Everything I get, he gets. I go get some free clothes, I give him some,” he said.

It is no secret that Snoop Dogg loves smoking weed and is fully invested in legal marijuana, launching his own range of cannabis products in 2015. In May, the 50-year-old and his son Cordell Broadus joined forces with MOBLAND to bring digital weed farms to the metaverse.

Earlier this year, he also made headlines when he decided not to smoke weed as he walked the 2022 MTV Movie and TV Awards red carpet. “No, I ain’t smoking tonight. I’m trying to abide by the law. I’ve changed my ways. I’ve become better,” he said.
