'Star Trek Discovery' Season 2, Episode 7 Preview: Search For Spock Ends
Spock (Ethan Peck) is the biggest character who has been introduced in “Star Trek: Discovery” Season 2. Although the character’s presence looms over almost every episode, the Vulcan has remained elusive until now. That will change in episode 7, as Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) will finally get to meet her foster brother after many years.
A preview video of the next episode posted on the Star Trek website shows Spock as a man who appears to have lost his mind. According to the official synopsis, Michael will go to Vulcan in order to find her foster brother.
On Vulcan, Michael will uncover some “surprising family secrets.” A preview still from the next episode teases the return of Sarek (James Frain). Michael will get to meet Sarek in the next episode, and he appears to be the one who will guide her to the location where Spock has been hiding.
Georgiou (Michelle Yeoh) will also be back in “Star Trek: Discovery” Season 2, episode 7. According to the synopsis, she will have “a few tricks up her sleeve” for Leland (Alan Van Sprang) and Section 31.
The preview video of the next episode teases Michael and Georgiou fighting. A still from episode 7 posted on Star Trek website shows the two characters, who have a complicated relationship, facing each other.
Meanwhile, the Red Angel will lead Discovery to another strange phenomenon. Captain Pike (Anson Mount) and Ash Tyler (Shazad Latif) will head out to investigate the phenomenon in a shuttle. The duo will have to face a powerful machine that is intent on killing them, and according to the synopsis, the crew of the ship will “battle with time itself.”
Another character to watch closely in “Star Trek: Discovery” Season 2 going forward is Saru (Doug Jones). The character went through a big change recently, and he is no longer driven by fear. In a recent interview, Jones compared the changes in his character to that of an 18-year-old. The actor teased that his character will go through a transition phase, as he learns to control his newfound instincts.
New episodes of “Star Trek: Discovery” Season 2 air every Thursday at 8:30 p.m. EST and can be streamed on CBS All Access.
