Just as the previous movies from the franchise, there will be a few celebrity cameos in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.” Three celebrities will reportedly play the role of Stormtroopers in a small scene, but the fans may not get to see their faces.

One of the stills that was released by Entertainment Weekly recently showed a group of Stormtroopers walking in the snow with some Snowtroopers. According to Making Star Wars, this lines up with a leak about the film that reveals the celebrity cameos.

Ed Sheeran, Jaime Oliver and Stephen Colbert are the celebrities who play Stormtroopers in the upcoming film. They will be seen on the snow planet featured in the film, and they will be seen with the Snowtroopers who are native to that planet.

The scoop has been verified by Making Star Wars with three different sources. The website that previously leaked that Daniel Craig was in “The Force Awakens” and it also got the Tom Hardy cameo right for “The Last Jedi.”

Just as the previous movies, the fans may not get to see the faces of the celebrities playing Stormtroopers in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.” The face is not revealed because celebrity cameos may distract the audience from the events in the movie.

The main plot of the upcoming film revolves around the surviving members of the Resistance fighting the First Order in what is expected to be their last fight. The movie is also significant because it brings to an end the Skywalker saga.

“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” has been directed by JJ Abrams. The film will be released on Dec. 20. The cast members include Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamill, Domhnall Gleeson, Ian McDiarmid and Oscar Isaac.
