New Force powers will be introduced in “Star Wars: The Rise oF Skywalker.” A time jump is expected in the film, and that means both Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) have a chance to become more powerful before they fight. Details about their new powers, and what that fight will be like, have surfaced online.

The following article contains spoilers of “Star Wars: Episode 9.”

The fact that there will be new Force powers in the upcoming film was revealed during the Star Wars Celebrations event recently. According to Making Star Wars these new powers will be shown during the fight sequence between Rey and Kylo Ren.

The teaser trailer of the film already teased a major fight between Rey and Kylo Ren, with the latter using a TIE fighter to attack. What apparently happens during this fight is that the two characters are connected through the Force, just like how they were connected before. However, what happens this time around is that the background changes while they fight.

Rey and Kylo Ren apparently travel through different locations from all the nine movies in the Skywalker saga while they fight. According to sources, the producers of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” have experimented with the technology that is currently being used to make “The Mandalorian” TV series, which could make the action scenes in the film a little different from what the fans have seen before.

“The Mandalorian” is the first “Star Wars” live action TV series. “Avengers” actor Jon Favreau is the executive producer. The teaser picture of the show that was released recently shows a lone gun fighter played by Pedro Pascal, who is the protagonist. The plot follows the gunfighter operating outside the influence of the New Republic.

While it will be exciting to see whether Rey and Kylo Ren’s fight sequence will be gritty, like “The Mandalorian,” the fighting is not expected to last long. The two characters will reportedly be forced to join to fight against an “outside threat.”

Very little is known about the outside threat in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.” The new villain has been described as someone in a black robe and cloak.
