Stores Open On Thanksgiving Day 2018: Store Hours For Target, Best Buy, Walmart And More

Morning people have Black Friday, but night owls have Thanksgiving Day. Every year, the stores have started opening earlier and earlier on Turkey day. There are tons of national chains that allow consumers to start Christmas shopping before dessert.

The big box stores are sure to have a line on Thanksgiving. Many Walmart locations will be open all day, but the big sales don’t start until 6 p.m. Target, meanwhile, will open its doors at 5 p.m. this year. Those looking for electronics can also head to Best Buy at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Malls will be filled with people too. Department stores like Macy’s, JCPenney and Sears all plan to open in the early evening hours. Other retailers found in malls, including Loft, Victoria’s Secret, Old Navy and Gap, are also planning to have many locations open on Thanksgiving.

A few stores have decided against opening on Thanksgiving, instead opting to give employees a holiday. Barnes and Noble, IKEA, Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Nordstrom, Costco and more will be closed on Thursday.
