COVID-19 hasn’t just affected the date Americans could file their income taxes by-it's also affected the slew of freebies and deals they’ve been able to take advantage of in the past due to the financial deadline.

While the usual April 15 deadline each year to file income taxes with the IRS brings occasional free food and deals that play on the number of the income tax form (1040), due to the ongoing pandemic, the United States initially extended the filing deadline for 2020 to July 15. That day has finally arrived, but with the health crisis still ongoing and cases surging in some states, the freebies and deals strictly for the day seem to be taking a break this year.

This wouldn’t be the only freebie/deal offer that has been suspended in the wake of COVID-19, as other annual events with deals with free food have also been canceled in 2020. Most recently, 7-Eleven canceled their annual “Free Slurpee Day” on July 11, though they did provide loyal app users with a coupon to get a free frozen drink at any point throughout the month instead.

However, while the tax day deals themselves may not be available for those who might feel a little more flush with their tax refunds in their pockets, some offers are still available in general from restaurants and elsewhere that those eager to break up the monotony of quarantine up can take advantage of.

Burger King: Those interested can take advantage of any number of offers from the burger chain, including a Free Whopper with purchase for new app users, free kids meals with any purchase of $1.00 or more and $1 any size soft drinks from 2-5 p.m. every day.

Cheesecake Factory: Those who order either delivery or order pickup can get a free slice of cheesecake with any order of $30.00 or more.

Olive Garden: The Italian restaurant chain is still offering car side pickup services, which includes deals on bottles of wine, which can be ordered for just $15.00 and include their Moscato Primo Amore, Roscato Rosse Dolce and the Confetti Pink Moscato Blend.

Sonic: No special offers are available for tax day, but they are offering their BBLT Sandwich for just $3.99.

Yard House: Celebrate finishing up with filing your taxes with Wine Down Wednesday, featuring half-off bottles of wine and $5 glasses at select locations.
