After an episode focusing on the opening acts of the Matsugorou Cup, fans get ready to see Setsu Sawamura and his club members perform on the big stage in "Those Snow White Notes" Episode 8. The new episode is called "Tuning Fork."

The official website released the spoiler stills and synopsis for Episode 8. Ahead of the big performance, Yui Yamazoto is nervous but she tries to appear confident before her teammate, Shuri Maeda. Since it is a group performance, Yui needs to hold her nerves and give her best.

Apart from the group performance, all eyes are on Setsu’s individual performance. It will be interesting to see if Mai will get a chance to go head-on against her arch-rival, Setsu in the individual performance event.

In the previous episode, Setsu and the club arrive at the venue for the Matsuguro Cup. The club is happy to have Setsu perform as an individual artist too.

For Setsu, achieving the sound of his grandfather is paramount and nothing else seems to matter. However, something changed after his last training camp and he is willing to play alongside his club members.

The last episode also introduces a shamisen player named Kaji who appears to have a perfect pitch like Setsu. Later in the episode, Kaji and his group belt out a jaw-dropping performance impressing the audience and the organizer of the event.

“The Tsugaru Shamisen Appreciation Club has entered the tournament that Umeko is sponsoring, the Matsugorou Cup. Also participating are Tanuma Mai, who has thought of Setsu as a rival since they were little, and her older brother, Tanuma Souichi. With strong competitors like Osaka's Kaji Takaomi and Fukuoka's Arakawa Ushio gathered from all over Japan, the tournament is shaping up to be a fierce battle. And now, the curtain rises on the Matsugorou Cup's group competition!” read the synopsis for Episode 7, as per Crunchyroll.
