KEY POINTS

  • T.J. Holmes allegedly had an affair with then-24-year-old Jasmin Pettaway in 2015, a report claims
  • Their relationship allegedly lasted for months while he was still married to his wife
  • The two allegedly had sex in his office hours before he went live on air

T.J. Holmes has been accused of another fling with a much younger intern before his alleged affair with "GMA3" co-anchor Amy Robach.

An unnamed "well-placed" source exclusively told the Daily Mail that the 45-year-old journalist allegedly had a months-long affair in 2015 with a then-24-year-old subordinate, Jasmin Pettaway. The two allegedly had sex in his office while on the job, the insider claimed. International Business Times could not independently verify the claims.

An unnamed ABC source exclusively told Page Six that "there is already an internal investigation underway into if anything happened between T.J. and Jasmin Pettaway" and confirmed that Pettaway indeed worked at ABC News.

"She was only at ABC News for a short period of time, but if they did have an affair when he was her superior, this would be a huge problem for T.J.," the ABC source added.

ABC declined Page Six's request for comment. Both Holmes and Pettaway have yet to address the affair allegations.

Pettaway was reportedly new to the industry at the time since it was her first job in television. The script coordinator reportedly had reached out to Holmes, who had been married to his wife Marilee Fiebig for five years at that point, for career mentorship.

"He was a predator who took full advantage of his position, and he was reckless," Daily Mail's source, who "knew Pettaway well at the time" and spoke to the outlet on condition of anonymity, alleged of Holmes.

"It was Jasmin's first real job in television, and it was a big deal for her. She was looking for a mentor, and she reached out to several people," the insider added. "T.J. was someone who was responsive, but he absolutely abused the position of trust."

Holmes, who joined the ABC News team in September 2014 and was a correspondent at the time of the alleged affair, would grab drinks with Pettaway, the source claimed.

The relationship between the two allegedly got more intense as it turned sexual. The source claimed they had sex "in his office" a "couple of hours" before Holmes was about to go on air.

"He just didn't seem to care" that he was married, the tipster claimed, noting that Holmes was still "wearing his [wedding] ring" during the alleged affair.

A number of social media users were not pleased upon learning about the new allegations being thrown at the "GMA3" anchor, and they shared their reactions to the news on Twitter. On the other hand, a few reasoned that Pettaway knew what she was doing when she allegedly had a relationship with Holmes.

"It seems like TJ Holmes went to work just to cheat on his wife," one Twitter user wrote.

"That girl's name will forever be associated with TJ Holmes thanks to the internet and she's only 24," another added.

"A 24-year-old isn't naive, a 17/18-year-old is. She chose to have a consensual relationship for months. She sought him out no doubt to further her career and chose to have a relationship with a married man. She isn't a victim. He isn't a predator," a different netizen opined.

The news came days after Page Six reported that ABC found a replacement for Holmes amid the internal investigation into his relationship with Robach, 49, who is married to actor Andrew Shue. Unnamed TV insiders claimed to the outlet producers favored DeMarco Morgan, 44, to be Holmes' replacement on the morning show.

But while the report claimed that the network was finalizing Holmes' exit, an ABC spokesperson told E! News that the network has not made any decision yet on his and Robach's fate on the show.

Holmes and Robach are reportedly currently in the process of divorcing their respective estranged spouses.
