Hollywood superstar Tom Hanks sent a special gift to an 8-year-old boy who was being bullied for his name, which most people now associate with the coronavirus pandemic.

Hanks gave Corona De Vries, who lives in Gold Coast, Australia, a retro typewriter that had the brand name Corona.

“I feel like I’m famous," the 8-year-old said upon receiving Hanks' gift. The Oscar winner also wrote De Vries a letter.

“I thought this typewriter would suit you,” Hanks wrote. “Ask a grown-up how it works. And use it to write me back.”

According to reports, De Vries initiated his contact with Hanks, after learning that the actor was positive for COVID-19. The "Forrest Gump" star and his wife, Rita Wilson, contracted the virus while Hanks was working on his new movie in Australia.

After asking how Hanks was doing, De Vries told the actor that he was feeling "sad and angry" because his schoolmates teased him about his name. To lift the boy's spirits, the superstar sent the vintage equipment. Hanks is also famous for his typewriter collection.

"You know, you are the only person I’ve ever known to have the name Corona — like the ring around the sun, a crown,” Hanks also told De Vries.

He closed his letter to the boy with, "You got a friend in ME!" as a reference to his famous animated character, Woody, from "Toy Story."

Meanwhile, after recovering from coronavirus, Trump hosted the very first virtual episode of "Saturday Night Live" on April 4.

He told CNN that his experience with COVID-19, the disease from coronavirus, was mostly feeling wiped out. He kept sleeping in the hospital while his wife suffered high fever, lost her sense of smell and taste, and felt nauseous for at least three weeks.

The couple was treated in Australia, and after getting an all-clear from the doctor, they were able to return to their Los Angeles home by late March.
