Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Tom Hiddleston and Charlie Cox decided to dress up as each others’ respective superhero alter egos for Halloween. Cox, who plays the titular crusader in Netflix’s (now canceled) “Daredevil,” put on a wig, crown, and cape to look like the God of Mischief, Loki. Meanwhile, Hiddleston, normally playing Loki, switched it up with a crimson devilish jumpsuit to look like the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.

The two heroes are both good friends in real life and, as noted by Collider, are appearing together on Broadway in the play “Betrayal.” While people waited to get in to see their performance, the two actors came out dressed as heroes to greet the crowd on Wednesday.

It wasn’t just these two, as some of the other cast members were in Avengers clad. Zawe Ashton and Eddie Arnold of “Betrayal” dressed up as Captain Marvel and Captain America, respectively.

Hiddleston is set to return as the titular character in “Loki” when it premieres on the Disney+ streaming app in 2021. With “Daredevil” canceled, it is unknown that we’ll ever see Cox put on the red horned cowl again, but many fans are holding onto hope as “Daredevil” was one of Netflix’s most-streamed shows.

Kevin Fiege recently stepped to take control of Marvel TV so they can streamline and polish their MCU canon. Better control over their content meant taking even their popular Netflix shows down for the foreseeable future. With this move, we may have lost the “Daredevil” show for the time being, but this is the same move that made way for a future “Loki” series.

Regardless, Hiddleston and Cox’s little pre-show gag worked well to not only get the fans excited for what Marvel may have in store next, but also for their “Broadway” play.
