Tom Holland revealed how the iconic villain Dr. Otto Octavius played by actor Alfred Molina will be different in the upcoming movie, "Spider-Man: No Way Home" compared to 2004's "Spider-Man."

"To see Alfred come in, and have to adapt and change to the way that the films are made, but also change director, and also [the fact that] I’m now Spider-Man," Holland told Total Film on Tuesday.

He further explained that it was interesting to watch how Molina and other actors returning to the new installment of the movie are adapting to the "modern era."

However, the 25-year-old actor didn't clarify what exact change will be seen in the movie but he did hint that their characters will be different compared to the old movies.

"Everyone puts their trousers on in the same way in the morning," he added. "It was interesting having those guys come in because they have a certain ownership over Spider-Man in their own way," Holland said.

During the interview, the actor took a pause before explaining that he is talking about Molina and Jamie Foxx, who played Electro in 2014's "The Amazing Spider-Man 2." Holland seemed like he was going to talk about a couple of more comebacks but stopped himself from spilling more beans.

When the "Spider-Man: No Way Home" official Twitter handle released a poster on Monday featuring one of the iconic villains, Green Goblin, fans speculated there are other villains too on the poster including Sandman, which was played by actor Thomas Haden Church in 2007's "Spider-Man 3."

Although Holland confirmed that actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield - who played Spider-Man in the past - won't return for the upcoming movie.

"People don’t believe me when I say that [Maguire and Garfield] are not coming back. But people are going to have to believe me at some point," he told the outlet with a laugh.

Holland noted that this movie means a lot to him as it is the first time audiences will witness all the original characters coming back. "It’s so exciting – and it’s such a huge moment in cinematic history. It’s three generations coming together," he added.

"Spider-Man: No Way Home" is slated to release in theaters on Dec. 17.
