President Donald Trump's Florida rally on Tuesday had chants of “bullshit” after Trump raged against House Democrats' impeachment investigation and argued the whole plan turned flat with voters.

Trump attacked proponents of impeachment at the rally in Sunrise.

“They’re pushing that impeachment witch hunt, and a lot of bad things are happening to them,” Trump told the rally. “Because you see what’s happening with the polls? Everybody chanted, “That’s bullshit.”

Minutes later, Trump’s supporters also started shouting “lock her up” when the president targeted Hillary Clinton, his 2016 poll rival, in the speech.

The rally was organized as a “homecoming” after Trump moved his residency to the Sunshine State in October.

Homecoming rally

The “homecoming rally” near Miami was used by Trump to the hilt to lash out against the impeachment inquiry. For Trump, the swing state Florida matters a lot in the 2020 re-election bid.

Trump had changed his residency to Florida in October from Trump Tower in New York to the Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach.

At the rally, Trump was welcomed by a cheering crowd of nearly 20,000 people. “Welcome home to Florida,” Florida’s Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, told Trump.

Impeachment is political agenda of Democrats

In the speech, Trump devoted a major part in slamming the probe and alleged the censure attempt was a “hoax” led by the political agenda of Democrats.

“I don’t want to go on it too long, but all I’m saying is it’s a terrible hoax,” Trump asserted, reported CBS news.

Trump said: “First it was the Russia hoax and now the same maniacs are pushing the deranged ... impeachment” narrative. Insisting he did nothing wrong in his dealings with Ukraine Trump argued that Democrats are trying to take him down because “they know that they cannot win the next election.”

Meanwhile, at Florida rally, Trump also defended his move to intervene in some cases of service members accused of war crimes overruling objections from Pentagon officials whom he described as “deep state.”

“Just this week I stuck up for three great warriors against the deep state,” Trump said, per CNN report.

Trump was recently criticized by former secretary of the Navy, Richard Spencer who said the President's intervention in favor of Navy Seal Eddie Gallagher showed the troops “that you can get away with things.”

On the impeachment front, the House of Representatives is in the middle of an investigation on the allegation that Trump pressured Ukraine president to probe his political rival Joe Biden and abused his office in the process.
