Meghan Markle and Amal Clooney started to become close friends while the Duchess of Sussex was dating Prince Harry.

During their royal wedding, the Clooneys were one of the couple’s guests. Now, Radar Online has claimed that Markle and Amal have become so close that they even go on secret lunches together.

The tabloid went as far as using the word “obsessed” to refer to Amal’s relationship with Prince Harry’s wife. An unnamed source told the tabloid that the criminal defense lawyer does everything she can to make sure that she could spend time with the royal.

Since the tabloid was not able to reveal the name of their source, it is unlikely that their claims are 100 percent accurate. What is known is that the Sussexes are good friends with the Clooneys. However, it is unclear if Amal really goes out of her way to have secret lunches with Markle.

Last year, The Sun published a story about Markle and Amal’s friendship. The publication revealed that a hairdresser named Miguel Perez was introduced to Markle by Amal. But shortly after the story made headlines, Perez himself debunked the claim.

On his Instagram account, the hairdresser confirmed that the story was fake. He also said that he has never met Prince Harry’s wife.

Meanwhile, George previously opened up about his friendship with the Sussexes. While speaking with Daily Mail earlier this year, he said that he and his wife don’t live very far away from Prince Harry and Markle.

“We live not too far from one another and we have dinners and stuff and we’re friends with them for all the reasons that you're friends with anybody. They’re just really nice, fun, kind people. They’re a very loving couple, and they’re going to be great parents,” he said.

Shortly after Prince Harry and Markle’s son, Archie, was born, the actor was asked about being the young royal’s godfather. While speaking with Extra, he said that the rumors are not true.
