A fantasy anime revolving around the life of an average teenager who is abandoned by gods and humanity, "Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-" Episode 1 introduces viewers to the protagonist named Makoto Misumi who is suddenly summoned by the gods to another world.

This may appear like an isekai anime, but there is no reincarnation as Misumi is merely transported from one world to another.

The official website has released the synopsis and spoiler stills of "Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy" Episode 1. Misumi's life changes when the gods summoned him to another world. But, the goddess finds him ugly and takes away his hero status.

Moreover, Misumi is shunned away to barren wastelands where he becomes friends with monsters and orcs.

"Makoto Misumi was just an average teenager who happened to suddenly be summoned to another world as a 'hero.' But the goddess of this world called him ugly and took his hero status away from him then sent him to the ends of the world. In the wastelands, he meets dragons, spiders, orcs, dwarves and many other non-human races," read the series synopsis, according to Crunchyroll.

"Makoto manages to show promises in the use of magic and fighting, which he wouldn't have been able to do in his former world. He has numerous encounters, but will he be able to survive this new world? A fantasy where a guy who had been abandoned by gods and humanity tries to reset his life in this new world is about to begin!" the synopsis continued.

The opening theme of "Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy" anime is titled "Gamble," which is performed by syudou and the closing theme, titled "Beautiful Dreamer," is performed by Ezoshika Gourmet Club.

The anime is based on the original work by Kei Azumi. The series is directed by Shinji Ishihira and the series composition and scripting are by Kenta Ihara.

The cast of anime includes Akari Kitō as Mio, Natsuki Hanae as Makoto Misumi, Ayane Sakura as Tomoe, Yurika Kubo as Toa, Yuna Kamakura as Louisa, Yuuki Shin as Hazal, Tomoaki Maeno as Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, Taku Yashiro as Lime Latte, Shinpachi Tsuji as Beren, Saori Hayami as Ema, Saika Kitamori as Ranina, Reina Ueda as The Goddess, Masaharu Satou as Morris, Kazuhiko Inoue as Patrick Rembrandt and Aiko Ninomiya as Rinon.

Fans can watch "Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy" Episode 1 online on Crunchyroll. The episode will live stream in Japanese with English subtitles this Wednesday.
