Ubisoft Delivered Disappointing News About ‘Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’

Ubisoft officially unveiled "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" in the late part of Apr 2020 in a unique fashion. It unveiled one of the game's characters as well as the game's setting based on the online sketch by BossLogic. Recently, the game developer confirmed one official detail about the game that could disappoint its fandom.

In a recent interview with Eurogamer, the gaming studio confirmed that "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" would not run oat 60 FPS on Microsoft's Xbox Series X. In other words, aside from other high-end gaming PC, this applies to all other gaming systems. However, Ubisoft noted that the game would run at 30 FPS but a far crisper 4K resolution.

The gaming studio also claimed that "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" would take advantage of the faster loading times, which enables players to fully immerse themselves in the world and history of the game without delay. Ubisoft also mentioned that the game would benefit from the enhanced graphics prowess of the Xbox Series X.

It is worth noting that Ubisoft's statement during the interview uses the term 'currently.' This suggests that things could still change, hopefully. However, the release window is set this year, which means Ubisoft has just a few months remaining to optimize the game on Microsoft's next generation gaming console.

Meanwhile, "Assassin's Creed Valhalla's" Creative Director Ashraf Ismail recently said that Ubisoft has a myriad of gameplay surprises for fans. In a recent interview with Washington Post, it urged the fans to be patient as criticisms about the game surfaced following its appearance during the Inside Xbox event. It turned out that most fans were disappointed in the kind of gameplay they have seen at the event.

At its earnings call with investors, Ubisoft revealed that "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" achieved a new record in terms of viewership. The upcoming action-adventure title garnered 100 million views in just a matter of ten days for its official reveal trailer. So far, it is the most viewed trailer in the history of the gaming studio.
