“Vikings” Season 6, episode 8 will take the story one step closer to the end. A preview video of the next episode shows the possible death of yet another son of Ragnar (Travis Fimmel). Meanwhile, Kattegat will have to prepare to defend against another attack.

Hvitserk (Marco Ilsø) will pay for his crimes in the next episode, a preview video shows. Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) will not be in a forgiving mood after saying goodbye to his mother, Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick).

The new king of Kattegat has made a few mistakes after taking over the role, and it remains to be seen if the death of his brother will count as one of these mistakes. If Hvitserk is to survive in the next episode, someone else will have to save him.

Meanwhile, Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen) will face more madness in Russia. Another preview video shows the crippled son of Ragnar watching his host descend further into madness.

The next episode has been directed by Winnick. After her character’s exit, the actress made her directorial debut with the episode “Legacy,” and the upcoming episode is the second time she sat in the director’s chair.

The official Twitter page of the TV series has shared a scene of Lagertha going to Valhalla. She joined Ragnar towards the end.
