“Vikings” Season 6, episode 8 will take the story one step closer to the end. A preview video of the next episode shows the possible death of yet another son of Ragnar (Travis Fimmel). Meanwhile, Kattegat will have to prepare to defend against another attack.

Hvitserk (Marco Ilsø) will pay for his crimes in the next episode, a preview video shows. Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) will not be in a forgiving mood after saying goodbye to his mother, Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick).

The new king of Kattegat has made a few mistakes after taking over the role, and it remains to be seen if the death of his brother will count as one of these mistakes. If Hvitserk is to survive in the next episode, someone else will have to save him.

While the people watch Hvitserk burn, they will also have to prepare for another attack on their city. Kattegat is a prize that many kings covet, and Bjorn knows there is an attack coming soon.

King Harald (Peter Franzén) will make new plans in “Vikings” Season 6, episode 8. He will not stop until he truly becomes the king of all of Norway, and he knows the biggest threat he faces is Bjorn.

Meanwhile, Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen) will face more madness in Russia. Another preview video shows the crippled son of Ragnar watching his host descend further into madness.

The next episode has been directed by Winnick. After her character’s exit, the actress made her directorial debut with the episode “Legacy,” and the upcoming episode is the second time she sat in the director’s chair.

The official Twitter page of the TV series has shared a scene of Lagertha going to Valhalla. She joined Ragnar towards the end.

“Vikings” Season 6, episode 8 is titled “Valhalla Can Wait.” It will air on Jan. 22 at 9 p.m. EST on History.
