  • The plot will focus on the war against the Russians

With “Vikings” Season 6 marking the end of the long running TV series, the show will bring to a close all the storylines. One popular character that he show is yet to explore fully is Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård). Will the show bring back the fan favorite character before the end?

The following article contains spoilers from episodes of “Vikings” Season 6 that have already aired.

Floki was not happy with the way things were and left with a group of his followers to find the land of the gods. He did find a piece of land where everyone could settle, but he faced many problems. The character was last seen trapped inside a cave and his fate was uncertain.

The story on the show has shifted towards the sons of Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) and the legacy of the great Viking. Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) is dead, which means that the door is now open to explore some of the other major characters. Floki is arguably the most important character that fans are hoping to find out about in “Vikings” Season 6.

What is giving fans hope about Floki’s return is the fact that Skarsgård was spotted on the production set of the show a few months ago, Screen Rant reported. The actor has also confirmed that his character will be back on the show, but it remains to be seen if Floki will be back in a flash back or a dream sequence.

Lagertha’s death is arguably the biggest on the show in Season 6. Winnick has been a part of the show from the beginning, and in an interview with TV Line, she explained how emotional it was for her to be there on the set after filming the funeral scene.

There may be many more such deaths when “Vikings” Season 6 returns. The plot will now focus on the battle against the Russians.
