Sony and Columbia Pictures have dropped the first trailer for the hotly-anticipated sequel to 2017’s “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.” The film, now titled “Jumanji: The Next Level,” will release this December with most all of the original cast returning.

Take a look:

Set some amount of time after “Welcome to the Jungle,” this new film sees the crew venturing back into Jumanji to find Spencer (Alex Wolff), who has disappeared back into the game. Things go haywire when two older relatives – played by newcomers Danny DeVito and Danny Glover – get sucked in by mistake. This leads to what is sure to light the internet on fire: Dwayne Johnson channeling DeVito’s mannerisms, while Kevin Hart does Glover. Even for people who didn’t care for the last film, this looks like a killer comedic hook.

Another big change this time out appears to be the inclusion of new terrains. While the last film primarily concerned itself with jungles and ruins, “The Next Level” will take the characters to new arctic and desert locales. One scene involving our heroes outrunning ravenous monkeys across spinning sections of rope bridge looks to be one of the sequel’s major set pieces.

Also returning for another go around are Jack Black, Karen Gillan, Rhys Darby, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Nick Jonas, and Ser’Darius Blain. Not glimpsed in the trailer is returning cast member Colin Hanks and newcomer Dania Ramirez. Jake Kasdan returns to direct once again alongside writers Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg.

Sony Pictures and Columbia Pictures will release “Jumanji: The Next Level” on Dec. 13.
