It’s been no secret to “Sister Wives” fans that things have been tough for Kody and Meri, or that their marriage has been on the rocks, and now, the COVID-19 Pandemic is only making things worse.

In a preview clip for the newest episode of the show, the two spouses are seen discussing their dynamic and how their relationship has been, and Meri expresses her frustrations over the fact that her husband rarely sees her anymore.

“Kody and I don’t talk,” she says in the clip. “We don’t see each other.”

The tension between them is seen further as they appear to spend some time together at her house—while staying six feet apart, which Kody seems to indicate is not just about social distancing, but also because he doesn’t have feelings for his first wife that make him want to get close—no matter how much she actually wants to.

“I’m more friendly with Meri, but it doesn’t mean that I’ve got any romantic inclinations,” he says.

The tension is also palpable in another clip, where Kody said that if any of his wives got sick, he would feel as if he had to be there to help them, noting Robyn has the young kids who he would need to take care of, but stating he would do it for any of his wives.

However, while Janelle and Christine both share reasons why they wouldn’t actually have Kody take care of them, Meri seems to find it hard to believe he would come take care of her at all, stating she would just be alone if she fell ill.

“If I was to get sick, nothing would happen. I would just be at home, alone, sick,” she says. “Nobody comes over here anyway, we don’t see each other.”

“Sister Wives” airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EDT on TLC.
