Earlier, it was reported drugs might have caused Dias’ untimely death. He was at his apartment with his friend when he supposedly took LSD and mushrooms, which are both hallucinogenic drugs. Dias “freaked out,” ran into his room and the friend didn’t see him again, TMZ wrote.

The friend, who wasn’t named, left the apartment. He tried to call Dias for two days, but did not get a response. By Monday, the friend was worried and called 911 to check on the former reality star. When first responders arrived, they discovered Dias dead in his room.

“On June 5th at 5:45 pm concerned friends called police after not hearing from him for a couple of days. After gaining entry into the apartment they found a 34 year old male identified as Daniel Dias DOA ... The medical examiner will determine the cause of death,” police said in a statement to Bustle Wednesday.

“Police discovered a 34-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive,” a New York Police Department rep told Buslte earlier. “The EMS responded and pronounced the male deceased at the scene. No criminality suspected at this time. The Medical Examiner is going to determine the cause of death. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.”

He appeared on Season 13 of “Road Rules” in 2004. The following year, he appeared on “The Challenge.”
