Even though the world is not seeing a lot of traditional movie releases due to the raging COVID-19 pandemic, Hollywood will be releasing some new content in theaters as well as on streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and more.

If you are looking forward to enjoying a cinematic experience this weekend, then there are a bunch of movies available for you. Movies such as horror-comedy, "Benny Loves You," crime action, "Equal Standard," and light-hearted comedy, "Here Today" are available to entertain you.

RLJE Films' drama movie, "The Water Man" and action thriller "Wrath of Man" are also available in theaters. However, if you are wondering what to watch this weekend without stepping out of your house, then here's the list for you.

1. The Boy From Médellin

In this movie, director Matthew Heineman captured one week in the Colombian reggaeton singer J Balvin's life. The documentary revolves around how the singer was forced to make decisions amid intense political turmoil, and will focus on the crippling anxiety and depression of the artist. It is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

2. And Tomorrow the Entire World

The movie was originally released in October 2020, and it is all set to debut exclusively on Netflix. The Julia von Heinz directorial revolves around an anti-fascist law student, who learns more about a planned attack that terrorizes her friends. The movie stars Mala Emde, Noah Saavedra, Luisa-Céline Gaffron and Tonio Schneider in the key roles.

3. Monster

The movie is helmed by Anthony Mandler, and it revolves around a teenage boy who fights for his innocence in a robbery-turned-murder incident. The movie stars Kelvin Harrison Jr., Jennifer Hudson, and Jeffrey Wright in key roles. It is a tight, intense 90-minute drama, which will keep you engaged throughout the movie. It is available on Netflix.

4. Above Suspicion

If you are fond of crime thrillers, then Phillip Noyce's directorial based on writer Joe Sharkey’s book “Above Suspicion” is something you should check out this weekend. The cop thriller drama is available on Apple TV, Vudu and Fandango Now. The movie stars the "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke in the lead role. It also stars Jack Huston, Johnny Knoxville and Sophie Lowe in key roles.
